General Manager

Since joining The Palm family in 2002, General Manager Michael Martin has welcomed guests at four Palm locations across the country, as well as serving for several years as Senior Director of Operations. Most recently taking the reins at The Palm Las Vegas, Michael was eager to get back to what he loves most about the hospitality industry. “The rewards of the job are great, but there are none greater than the exuberance of meeting a loyal Palm customer, or wowing a first timer.” Michael started his career in the service industry as a busboy at Ricky’s Clam House in the Bronx when he was just fourteen years old. He later took a detour into project management for an international law firm – an experience which helped solidify for him that his true passion was hospitality. That passion and dedication to service has resulted in numerous awards throughout the years, including “Server of the Year” in 2003 by the California Restaurant Writers Association, The Palm’s annual “Gigi Award” in 2009 and our “Operator of the Year” award in 2010 for delivering outstanding sales, guest and employee satisfaction as the General Manager of The Palm Orlando. Beyond providing authentic, old-world hospitality, Michael's other loves are his wife Candace, his daughter Hannah, son Sam and his hometown heroes, the New York Knicks.
