Chris GilmanGeneral Manager
Chris Gilman, a Boston native, started at The Palm Dallas as a Server Assistant in 1984 and later migrated to New York, where he worked his way up at all of The Palm’s New York locations. A man of many interests, Chris a hiatus from The Palm to successfully run his own Latin American restaurant, and has now happily returned to preside over The Palm Tribeca. “My most amazing day? When President Clinton came in,” Gilman says, “as well as Diane von Furstenberg’s celebrity-packed bipartisan election party at the restaurant.” Chris doesn’t name a favorite caricature – he loves them all, especially those of his regulars. “Our guests come in on a very predictable schedule - 5 pm, parents with kids; 6 pm, Wall Street moguls, and later, the widely diverse group of neighborhood regulars.” Active in the community, Chris oversees the restaurant’s support of the annual 9/11 Memorial 5K and charities like Jessica Seinfeld’s GOOD+ Foundation.
