Reports from the December, 2000 grand opening of The Palm in Nashville said, It was one of the best parties Nashville has seen in more than eight years. The grand opening of the restaurant, located adjacent to the Hilton Suites in downtown Nashville and across the street from the Gaylord Entertainment Center, drew celebrities Denise and Alan Jackson, Titans players Marcus Robertson, Blaine Bishop and coach Jeff Fisher, former NBA player Charles Davis, Senator Fred Thompson the Governor of Tennessee, the Mayor of Nashville, and many others. Since opening, guests like Robert Redford, James Gandolfini (Tony Soprano), Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have paid the Nashville Palm a visit.
