Current Positions

The restaurant industry has been affected by the recent economic and competitive conditions and The Palm Management Corporation understands the value of adding professionally trained and educated employees to the corporation. We seek highly motivated managers, chefs, and front and back of house staffs who are truly dedicated to the fast-paced and demanding restaurant industry. Our management teams are active within both the corporation and in the communities they serve. Being highly attuned to the local economic and competitive environment is a must. Because of its long tradition as a family-owned enterprise, The Palm highly values its employees and strives to reward their dedication with fair treatment and attractive benefits.

Promotion From Within
A decision to hire a new employee is considered a long-term investment. New employees are hired with the expectation that their skills will be further developed for future promotion and career advancement within Palm Restaurants. As additional Palm Restaurants open, limitless opportunities for career growth and advancement will be available. Before consulting outside resources, The Palm looks to promote existing employees to fill such opportunities.

Incentives
Throughout The Palm organization, employee turnover remains well below industry average on all levels of staffing. This is attributed to The Palm's working environment, compensation, and benefits. Compensation is competitive and generous when compared with the rest of the industry. Performance is evaluated bi-annually based on specific measurable goals and qualitative measures. Management compensation includes a base salary and bonus potential; these annual bonuses make up a significant portion of management compensation. Pay increases are considered annually and are based on individual performance, unit performance, and overall company performance.
Benefits

The benefits package is another way The Palm stands apart from many other restaurant employers. This package includes health, medical, dental, and vision care; life insurance; and 401(k) retirement savings. Palm employees have the benefit of health insurance through CIGNA Preferred Provider Organization with a choice of two plans. Premiums may be deducted from pre-tax dollars, and coverage is available for both individuals and their dependents. Life insurance is available, at no charge, to eligible employees. After 12 months of service, eligible Palm employees may enroll in the 401(k) retirement savings plan. Included with this benefit is an employer matching contribution of 50% of the first $1000 of employee contributions per year. All contributions are immediately vested. With the start of employment, managers are able to accrue time towards the retirement benefits of The Palm Long Term Incentive Plan and The Palm Appreciation Plan. These plans accrue funds based on a profit sharing system to be paid to employees meeting the criteria of the plan at the time of their retirement. Non-tipped employees are also eligible for paid holidays, limited sick time and vacation.
