Meet Our Palm Boston Executive Chef
Karen Mitchell joined The Palm in 2013 as the Executive Chef for our Boston location, slated to reopen in mid-May 2013. In preparation for the re-opening, Karen can be found cooking with the executive chefs at any of the 25 Palm Restaurant locations throughout the United States.
Karen joins the Palm team with over ten years of experience as Executive Chef for Legal Sea Foods in Boston and Bethesda, Maryland. In addition to serving the highest quality food, Karen directed over 50+ managers and mentored new chefs in other restaurant locations. Through her passion and drive, she successfully drew an underperforming restaurant into the new manager training location, culinary summit headquarters and company leader in food safety.
A charismatic and passionate leader, Karen's accolades include being named leadership coach, training chef for all new incoming chefs in her region and leader for culinary summit training for all managers and key hourly associates. Karen was named a top restaurant performer in the area of food safety and sanitation inspections by accomplishing the best scores in the 32-restaurant company.
Karen and her husband have one daughter and live in Lynnfield, Massachusetts.
