The second Palm location to open, The Palm in downtown DC has been the place to see and be seen. In fact, the opening of the Palm DC was largely due to the encouragement of George Bush Sr., the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations at the time, who encourages the owners to bring their “good American fare” to the capital city. Now, for over 38 years, the Palm is still the "Best Power Lunch" in DC (as voted by Washingtonian Magazine 2010).

Tommy Jacomo, Executive Director
"Hello, Washington Palm in your Nation's Capital, Tommy speaking" Tommy Jacomo's name is saturated with "power" in the DC market. Tommy runs The Palm like a surrogate branch of the government. Dealing with political bigwig buddies like Vernon Jordan, Ambassador Robert Strauss, and James Carville, it's no wonder Tommy is the most well-known guy around town. Career highlights include a sparring match in the restaurant with boxing great Mohammed Ali in the early 1970s and entertaining almost every president since Richard Nixon's administration. Tommy literally helped build The Palm restaurant in 1972 with his brother Ray. With over 38 years of Palm history under his belt, Tommy is one of the living legends that makes The Palm the great piece of history it is today.

Christian Fuentes, Executive Chef
Christian Fuentes is no stranger to The Palm Family. Since 2006, he had been working alongside his brother, Executive Chef Hoss Fuentes (now Palm Nashville Executive Chef), at The Palm in Washington DC as the sous chef before becoming Executive Chef at The Palm Chicago in 2011 and Palm One in 2012. He now returns to DC in May 2013 as Executive Chef. Prior to joining The Palm, Fuentes served in a number of different kitchen capacities for Clyde's in the Washington, DC area. Having earned his certification from L’Academie de Cuisine, he is trained in the menu development of both American and Latin American cuisine. With over 16 years experience, Fuentes is often commended for his leadership and coaching abilities, as well as respected by peers and staff for his dedication and commitment to service excellence.
