"Treat your customers and employees like family, and they won't go elsewhere." Jim joined The Palm Family in 1978 as the General Manager of The Palm in Houston. He brought Brooklyn-born flavor and combined it with Southern hospitality in the great city of Houston. When he arrived, this "City Slicker" was clearly not a local, but he was readily accepted and now considers himself a real Texan. One of the more memorable nights in the restaurant happened when the Chairman of the Board, Frank Sinatra, and his long time friend Jilly stayed with Jim at The Palm "till the wee small hours of the morning." "We swapped so many tales and laughs that night we instantly became friends." Whenever someone mentions Frank's name, there is a special smile that comes across Jim's face. At times Sinatra's presence still lingers with sounds of "New York, New York" flowing from the back dining room.

Jennifer Knobloch, Sales Manager
Jennifer Knobloch has been working for the Houston Palm as Sales Manager since July 1998. She is responsible for overseeing all private dining at The Palm Houston. A 21 year hospitality veteran, Jennifer has held many positions in her distinguished career. Prior to coming to the Palm, Jennifer was at Golf Crest Country Club in Pearland, TX where she held the position of Food and Beverage Director. Ms. Knobloch graduated from the University of Houston – Hilton College with a B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Management in 1996. Her passion for hospitality began at the age of 15 working at a BBQ restaurant in Tomball, TX called the Rib Tickler. Through college, she was employed at La Quinta Hotels and Houston Country Club. Jennifer is a native Houstonian and enjoys reading, traveling, scrapbooking, wine tasting, and playing with her beagle Dakota.
