Christian Fuentes, Executive Chef
Christian Fuentes joined the team at The Palm Chicago in August 2011, but he is no stranger to The Palm Family. Since 2006, he had been working alongside his brother, Executive Chef Hoss Fuentes, at The Palm in Washington DC, as the sous chef. Prior to joining The Palm, Fuentes served in a number of different kitchen capacities for Clyde's in the Washington, DC area. Having earned his certification from L’Academie de Cuisine, he is trained in the menu development of both American and Latin American cuisine. With over 16 years experience, Fuentes is often commended for his leadership and coaching abilities, as well as respected by peers and staff for his dedication and commitment to service excellence. Welcome Chef Fuentes to The Palm Chicago!

Anna Saavedra, Sales Manager
Anna has been in love with food for as long as she can remember. With both Italian and Chilean roots, Anna says that passion for food and celebration is in her blood. She even has close relatives who grow grapes in Chile! Anna credits her Grandmother's excellent cooking and instruction for laying the groundwork for what would turn out to be her career later in life. In high school, Anna attended a vocational for food service training and even then, knew that she would always work in the hospitality industry. Anna moved to Charleston, SC in 2000 to attend Culinary school and started working for Carolina's, the oldest fine dining restaurant in Charleston, while in school. After being with the company for years, Anna landed a job as the Marketing Director for the company and eventually transitioned to Director of Operations for Carolina Catering which was owned by the same group (Crew Carolina). During her time with the company, Anna received company wide recognition for her concierge referral program which is still in use today. Carolina Catering also won The Knot’s “Best Catering Company in Charleston” for 2010 as voted by local brides the first year that she was at the helm. Anna has wanted to live and work in Chicago for as long as she can remember and is absolutely thrilled to be back home and close to her roots and family.
